Entry Point
For access to the Mesabi TrailSM from Highway 169, exit onto 4th Ave SE (downtown exit). Trail access is on the right about 150 feet from Highway 169. (see map)
About Chisholm
Along the Trail, seven miles east of Hibbing, is the city of Chisholm. It is home to one of the region's major tourist attractions called Ironworld. Longyear Lake is also located within city limits and has swimming beaches and a boat launch. Other attractions include the Museum of Mining, a WPA Project called the Rock Wall and Museum, Classic Car Museum, Bruce Mine Headframe, and the Iron Ore Miner Memorial.
The town has a library, post office and city hall.
Highlights
Some of the annual events in Chisholm coincide with events held at Ironworld, such as the Blues Street Dance in early June and the Polka Street Dance in later June (and city-wide garage sale). The beginning of September is the Annual Fire Day Fest.

Many restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores are located in Chisholm.
Call 911 for emergencies. There are several medical clinics in town and a hospital located in Hibbing, seven miles west.
