Entry Point
For access to the Mesabi TrailSM from Highway 169, exit onto Hwy 82/7th Street. Continue north about 3/10 of a mile. Trail access is at the corner of 3rd Ave and 7th Street. (see map)
About Keewatin
Along the Trail, 8 miles west of Hibbing is the town of Keewatin. O'Brien Reservoir is two miles west and offers a swimming beach and a boat launch. There is a library, post office, and city hall in town.
 Highlights
On the Fourth of July, the famous a foot race, the "Two Town Ten Trillion Nanomoter" is held on the Mesabi Trail between the communities of Keewatin and nearby Nashwauk.
