About Marble
On the Trail, 17 miles east of Grand Rapids is the town of Marble, population 618. The post office, city offices and library are located in town. Twin Lakes is a short distance away which has a public beach and boat launch.
Highlights
Parts of the iron ore mine can be seen from the Mesabi Trail. A war veteran's memorial is located on the main street.
In August, Marble Hail Days take place commemorating the town's survival from an intense hailstorm. A parade, children's games, and a swap meet are some of the activities occurring during this celebration.
