For access to Mesabi TrailSM from Highway 169, exit onto Hwy 65. Continue north about one mile to the City Park. Trail access and parking available at park. (see map)
About Nashwauk
Along the Trail, 28 miles east of Grand Rapids and 13 miles west of Hibbing is the town of Nashwauk. O'Brien Lake is 2 1/2 miles to the east and has swimming beaches and boat launches. The town has a library, post office and city hall. Campground is located north on Highway 65. Call City Hall @ 218-885-1210. Not open on Fridays.
Highlights
Fourth of July is a major celebration in this community. Bands play, a parade is held, and a children's race is held. On that same day, the famous 10K "Two Town Ten Trillion Nanometer" race takes place between the communities of Nashwauk and Keewatin. In the evening there is a fireworks display.

Call 911 for emergencies. A medical clinic is open Monday through Friday in Nashwauk. A hospital is located in Hibbing, 12 miles to the east.
