The Ride
The Great River Energy Mesabi TrailSM Tour is a day-long event designed for families and serious trail riders alike. Three starting points allow riders to customize their routes, anywhere from 15 to 51 miles. At the end of the day, all trails lead to Virginia Olcott Park, where the event culminates in an outdoor picnic and concert. Whichever starting point you choose, you'll encounter historic and scenic points of interest, with plenty of fun stops along the way. To make the deal even sweeter, transportation to your starting point for you and your bike are on us.
Registration for the Tour includes:
- Live concert at Virginia's Olcott Park
- Finish Line Picnic at Virginia's Olcott Park
- Free T-shirt for each participant
- 2 Day Mesabi TrailSM Wheel Pass
- Transportation of riders and bicycles from Virginia to start points in Marble, Hibbing, or Buhl:
- Friday Night: FREE bicycle transport from Virginia to secure overnight storage in Marble, Hibbing, or Buhl or do-it-yourself bicycle drop-off at Marble or Hibbing (nothing in Buhl; please come to Virginia)
- Saturday Morning: $20 per bicycle fee for transport from Virginia to all start points, or do-it-yourself bicycle drop-off at each start location to save the transporation fee
- Saturday Morning: FREE rider transport to all start points
- Interpretive rest stops along the trail with food, refreshments, and entertainment
